Canadian airline Air Transat has launched a seat sale on flights from the UK to Canada, when booked by 10 November.
Fares start from £315 per person return including taxes, in-flight meal and luggage allowance from the UK to four Canadian destinations this winter, spring and through summer 2017.
Selected flights are discounted, travelling between November 2016 and June 2017, based on return economy class fares.
The four routes in question are Gatwick-Toronto, Gatwick-Vancouver, Gatwick-Calgary, Gatwick-Montreal.
Throughout winter and at the beginning of spring, the east and west coast of Canada boast stunning snow-capped mountains, frozen lakes and an abundance of seasonal activities from winter festivals to foodie events.
On the East Coast, highlights include:
- The illumination of Niagara Falls and spectacular fireworks displays at the annual Winter Festival of Lights from 19 November 2016 to 31 January 2017.
- Montreal’s Festival of Snow, held every weekend between 14 January and 5 February, with free zipline rides and snow tubing.
Over on the West Coast:
- In Vancouver, take a trip to Granville Island’s covered public market, providing a mouth-watering range of foods to sample from cheese and wine, to baked treats.
- Head on up the Sea-to-Sky Highway to the renowned ski resort of Whistler where, as well as world-class skiing, thrill seekers can find activities such as bobsledding and mountain-bike riding. Those looking to unwind at the end of an active day will find it hard to choose between the treatments offered by the local spas.
