AirAsia boosts Malaysian routes

AirAsia has announced plans to add a series of extra flights on several routes out of Kuala Lumpur later this year. From 30 October the low-cost carrier will add a ninth daily flight on its route from KL to the Malaysian resort island of Langkawi, with the extra service departing KL at 1810, and returning from Langkawi at 1935.
Following this on 10 November, AirAsia will launch a 13th daily flight between KL and Kota Kinabalu, and a fourth daily service from KL to Miri. The extra daily Kota Kinabalu service departs KL at 1345, returning from the Sabah state capital at 1645. The new service to Miri leaves KL at 1140, and returns from the Sarawak city at 1420.
In addition, AirAsia is planning to add two extra daily flights on its high-demand KL-Singapore route. The airline will add a 12th daily flight on 30 October, departing KL at 2230 and returning from the Lion City at 0635 the next day. Then from 15 December, the low-cost carrier will add a 13th daily frequency on the route, with the new service departing KL at 1325 and returning from Singapore at 1455.
“The added flight frequencies is [sic] set to provide our guests with more convenience, as now there are more options on flight times for these destinations,” said AirAsia’s Regional Head of Commercial, Kathleen Tan. “We are confident that it will be met with enthusiasm by our guests and we can expect to see excellent passenger loads,” she added.
