AirAsia has implemented its new reservation system, New Skies. The system was completed nearly three hours earlier than planned and means bookings and self check-in services can function normally. “We set a record of only 9 months to complete this major migration, explained AirAsia Regional Head of Commercial Kathleen Tan. “Guests can look forward to greater savings that will come as a result of the more efficient operational processes created by the new system, apart from more innovative sales and marketing campaigns, product and service offerings tailored to guests’ preferences, and better self-service facilities, including direct access to their Credit Shell accounts,” she added. New features include a low fare finder, multi-city bookings and the option to use the system in Mandarin, Thai, Japanese or other language characters. Meanwhile in London, AirAsia X announced its partnership with Lotus Racing at Silverstone’s Formula 1 last weekend.
