AirAsia plane skids off runway in Kuching

An AirAsia plane carrying 124 passengers skidded off the runway at Kuching International Airport, in Malaysia’s Sarawak state, on Monday night. Bernama reported that the incident occurred at the plane, en route from Kuala Lumpur, landed in heavy rain. Four passengers suffered minor injuries and the airport was forced to close for several hours. Twenty four subsequent flights, including 11 AirAsia services, were affected.
