AirAsia X -the long-haul arm of AirAsia – is offering 5,000 free seats to mark a sales milestone of 100,000 seats.
Azran Osman-Rani of AirAsia X said the giveaway was “a gesture of appreciation for all our guests who have supported AirAsia X”.
AirAsia X started with the Kuala Lumpur-Gold Coast sector in November last year and added Hangzhou in February this year, with more destinations to be announced.
The airline said it had exceeded its target of 190,000 passengers within 12 months of operations.
“The record performance speaks volume for our model and it is pointing us towards the right direction as there is a global shift towards LCC (low cost carriers) today,” Azran said.
