AirAsia X to borrow new fleet funding

AirAsia X expects to secure financing to buy three new Airbus A330-300 planes valued at about US$602.4 million, Bloomberg has reported. The long-haul, low-cost carrier will start inviting local and overseas banks to bid for providing the loans before the end of the year, CEO Azran Osman Rani was reported saying. Deliveries are planned for June, July and November next year, Azran added.
