AirAsia X is considering charging passengers depending on their weight, news.com.au has reported. The move is said to be the latest drastic bid to cope with rising fuel prices. AirAsia X General Manager Darren Wright admitted the low cost carrier was considering weighing passengers to calculate the overall weight of the aircraft; however he conceded that the move would be difficult to implement.
