Airberlin is no longer taking any bookings for flights to Egypt until 15 September 2013.
The airline is responding to the German Foreign Ministry’s updated assessment of security situation in the North African country, which is as follows: “In view of the current events and unpredictability of how the situation may develop, travel to Egypt is not advised at present.” Airberlin is working in close cooperation with the German Foreign Ministry, tour operators and partners in Egypt and is monitoring the situation closely.
The flights from and to Egypt are currently being operated as planned. The destinations offered by Airberlin in Egypt include those in the beach holiday areas on the Red Sea, with flights to and from Hurghada, Marsa Alam and Sharm el Sheikh.
