Two people have been killed and five others are missing after an Airbus A320 crashed during a test flight in France, the BBC has reported.
The plane, which has been leased by Germany’s XL Airways from Air New Zealand, was undergoing maintenance checks after a refit before being handed back to New Zealand national carrier, according to Rob Fyfe, Chief Executive of Air NZ.
The single-aisle plane reportedly crashed into the Mediterranean Sea off the coast of France near Perpignan.
