Airbus delivers 130 planes in Q3

Airbus delivered a total of 130 new aircraft in the third quarter of 2010. The A320 model remained Airbus’s most popular model with 72 deliveries, followed by the A319 with 16. The A321 and A330-300 models both registered 11 deliveries each. Seven A380 ‘superjumbo’ planes were delivered in the quarter; three to Emirates, two to Lufthansa, and one each to Air France and Singapore Airlines. The European planemaker logged 248 orders in the quarter, including major orders from Lufthansa Group (40 aircraft), Cathay Pacific (30) and TAM Airlines (25).
