Qantas and Singapore Airlines are requesting the removal of the 11pm-6am curfew at Sydney Airport, Bernama has reported. The carriers want to start operating flights throughout the night and argue that if the curfew continues a second airport would have to be built in Sydney to cope with booming traffic numbers. A possible compromise considered is to allow planes to land during curfew hours, but not take off.
