Ajman Hotels’ revenues touch AED 154 m

The revenues of Ajman hotels and hotel apartments increased by 34.6% in 2013, Ajman Tourism Development Department (ATDD) announced on the sidelines of ITB-Berlin, as reported in WAM. The emirate’s hotel revenues reached over AED154,92 million in 2013, compared to over AED 123.1m in 2012.
The revenues of hotel apartments were estimated at over AED59.8 m in 2013, compared to AED 36.4 m, according to Faisal Al Nuaimi, ATDD general manager.
Ajman Saray hotel was inaugurated in Ajman in 2013, bringing the number of hotels to 11 compared to 10 in 2012, while the hotel apartments remained 18, said Al Nuaimi. The number of total hotel rooms and units reached 2610 in 2013, compared to 2503 in 2012, he added. As for hotel occupancy, the rates reached 48.47per cent in 2013, said Al Nuaimi, adding that occupancy of hotel apartments reached 86%, compared to 60% in 2012.
