Leading luxury boutique hotel operator, Alila Hotels and Resorts, is set to expand its footprint in Asia with six new properties opening this year. Three of the openings will be Alila Villas resorts, described by Alila as “ultra luxury”. The new properties will expand Alila’s existing presence in Indonesia and Thailand, as well as marking the group’s first ventures into the Maldives and India. The new properties are as follows:
Alila Villas Uluwatu, Indonesia (opening scheduled for June) is a cliff-top resort located along the southernmost coast of Bali, offering panoramic views over the Indian Ocean. This will be the debut of Alila Villas. Alila Villas Hadahaa, Maldives (July) will be located on a remote tropical island in the North Huvadhoo Atoll, and will contain its own dive centre. Alila Hansar Koh Samui, Thailand (Third quarter) is a resort located along Bophut Beach, and heralds Alila’s entry into the popular holiday island. Alila Diwa Goa, India (September) is situated on the Majorda Beach in south Goa, and will combine a strong wellness component and a comprehensive event centre. Alila Villas Soori, Indonesia (November) will comprise luxury residences along the southwest coast of Bali, near the Tanah Lot Temple. Finally Alila Hansar Bangkok, Thailand (fourth quarter) promises to combine ‘ultra-luxe’ residences and intimate boutique hotel services in the heart of the Thai capital.
“These upcoming properties represent a significant milestone in the growth of Alila in both established and emerging destinations across the region,” said Frederic Flageat-Simon, Managing Director and COO of Alila Hotels and Resort.
