Amadeus has launched a new consulting service for travel agencies in the Asia Pacific region.
Amadeus Consulting Services was created to help travel agents compete more effectively with the rising number of online travel companies, by advising them how to improve their business and helping them deploy new IT solutions.
Agencies can choose to take part in an Amadeus Discovery Workshop, which sees Amadeus engineers conduct an onsite assessment of a travel agent’s operations, offering recommendations on how to improve the business. Amadeus will also provide project management services to help travel agencies manage complex technology developments or migrations.
“Asia Pacific is a vast region, but our customers here all face similar issues – they need to improve productivity, but they don’t always know the right way to go about it. Amadeus Consulting Services makes personalised, manageable recommendations that really reduce the stress of changing business processes. So, ultimately our team can do the hard work on behalf of our customers,” said Bruno des Fontaines, vice president of Amadeus’ customer solutions group.
STA Travel in Australia has already held a two-day Amadeus workshop, to assess its booking processes, and the company said it was pleased with the outcome.
“The results have really put perspective and prioritisation around the technology improvements we can make to overcome efficiency challenges in our diverse business,” said Melanie Armstrong, STA’s business development director in Australia.
