Amadeus sees double-digit rise in profits

Amadeus IT Holding SA has experienced an 11.7% rise in profits in the first quarter of 2011, compared to the same period last year. The travel technology company reported adjusted profits of EUR144.0 million (US$206.1 million), on revenues of EUR704.3 million – 2.8% more than Q1 2010. The company’s President & CEO, Luis Maroto called the result “a good start to the year”, and noted that Amadeus had successfully reduced its debt by more than EUR130 million since December.
