River cruise operator AmaWaterways has christened its most recent ship, the AmaPrima, at a ceremony in Vilshofen in Germany.
The ship, which was christened by Valerie Wilson, founder and CEO of Valerie Wilson Travel, will sail the rivers of Holland and Belgium as well as the Rhine and Danube.
Kristin Karst, AmaWaterways’ executive vice president and co-owner said: “Almost everyone in Vilshofen played some kind of role in the AmaPrima’s christening ceremony today. We couldn’t have asked for a more supportive or festive atmosphere, or for a warmer welcome for our godmother, Valerie Wilson. It’s been a simply wonderful day for all involved.”
The AmaPrima is the sister ship of the AmaCerto, which was christened in 2012. Both ships have capacity for around 164 passengers and feature twin balconies, staterooms that measure up to 350 sq feet.
