American Airlines has celebrated the launch of flights connecting Dallas with Hong Kong and Shanghai.
Both new routes commenced this week and will now operate daily. The Hong Kong service leaves Dallas-Fort Worth (DFW) International Airport at 1245 and arrives at Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA) at 1805 the following day. The return flight then departs HKIA at 1330, getting back into DFW at 1630.
One the Shanghai route, flights will leave DFW daily at 1055, arriving at the Chinese city’s Pudong International Airport at 1455 the next day. Return flights leave Shanghai at 1650, getting back into Dallas at 1810.
“Increasing international service from Dallas-Fort Worth with new non-stop flights to Hong Kong and Shanghai is great news for the people of North Texas and everyone who connects through this world-class gateway at DFW International Airport,” said Doug Parker, CEO of American Airlines.

These new routes enhance our expanding global network and further establish American’s position as the preferred carrier for one-stop connections between Asia and major business and leisure destinations in North, Central and South America.”
The new daily service between DFW and Hong Kong will be operated with a three-class Boeing 777-300ER, aircraft, while the Shanghai route will be served by a two-class Boeing 777-200ER. Both aircraft offer flat-bed seats in business class and Wi-Fi.
