American Express launches Experience UAE campaign
American Express Middle East has announced details of its annual ‘Experience UAE’ campaign.
For the second year running, the campaign offers travellers to the UAE access to a wide range special offers and benefits, with leading names in car rental, shopping, airline, dining, leisure and wellbeing, simply by using their American Express Cards.
Organised in association with the Abu Dhabi Tourism & Culture Authority, Dubai Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM) and Sharjah Commerce & Tourism Development Authority, the destination campaign aims to boost inbound travel to UAE.
Running until March 31, 2013, ‘Experience UAE’ encourages travellers to make the UAE their destination of choice, in order to benefit from a range of offers at various touch points in the lifecycle of a traveller. These include extensive options for hospitality, fine dining, retail and well-being treatments.
The campaign emphasises the charm and appeal of the cooler months in the UAE, with the added advantages of the festive season and school holidays, when 62% of the consumer spend occurs according to American Express Middle East.
“Traditional Arab heritage and modern society co-exist in the UAE, making it an excellent starting point for international travellers wishing to visit the Middle East,” said Deepak Jain VP Merchants and Strategic Partnerships, American Express Middle East. “The specially negotiated offers available through the Experience UAE campaign will enable American Express Cardmembers to experience a world class holiday, in a truly cost effective manner.”
In-bound travellers to the UAE using American Express Cards can avail an exclusive 7% off selected flights on Emirates Airline into Dubai and save 15% on room rates at premium hotels like Atlantis The Palm, Dubai, and the Anantara Hotels & Resorts in Abu Dhabi. Travellers can benefit from 40% off car rental from National Car Rental or choose from a selection of tour packages from Orient Tours. After a day full of excitement and entertainment, there are a wide range of multi-cultural gourmet dining options available with a 20% savings on food and beverage at both Starwood Hotels and Resorts and Rotana Hotels and Resorts.
If shopping is your scene, then Cardmembers are also ensured a wonderful retail experience in the Shopper’s paradise with Rivoli Group, with offers of 15% savings at selected outlets. Finally, to end the day, Cardmembers can relax and avail 15% off spa treatments at various hotels of the Emaar Group.
To help plan their visit, Cardmembers can also explore potential tourist spots and experiences across the UAE through the specially designed ‘Experience UAE’ microsite set up by American Express Middle East. The microsite gives visitors an excellent overview of UAE’s globally renowned manmade landmarks such as the Burj Khalifa, the tallest building in the world and Ferrari World, the only Ferrari theme park in the world.
