The largest riverboat in the world, the American Queen, will be launched to UK consumers this weekend.
The six-deck-high paddlewheel riverboat, which travels on the Mississippi River and its tributaries, will be showcased at the Telegraph Cruise Show at ExCel to potential customers.
American Queen Steamboat Company’s president and COO Ted Sykes will be coming over from the US for the show alongside Graham Clubb who heads up its UK operation.
“We’ve already had an enthusiastically received UK travel trade launch for the American Queen and the Telegraph Cruise Show is the perfect launchpad to the consumer – we couldn’t ask for a better audience. The American Queen is like no other river ship – she brings a unique perspective on America’s history, culture and landscapes through the heartland of America – it’s all very Mark Twain/Gone with the Wind,” explained Clubb.
