Amadeus has partnered Cornerstone Information Systems, the reservation management and business intelligence technology company, to boost its corporate travel business.
The deal will see Amadeus become an official global distributor of two of Cornerstone’s corporate travel solutions. Amadeus iBank will provide an agency or corporation with extractable reports to manage their travel programme, with key features including reporting based on reservation or back office data, more than 100 pre-defined reports, and dynamically-updated graphical views of elements such as travel spend, airline contract management, air policy performance and supplier management.
Amadeus iQCX meanwhile, is an automated reservation management solution that includes agency-branded emails to travellers, automatic issuance of tickets, and add-on services such as automated waitlist management and seat assignment.
Albert Pozo, Amadeus’ vice president of multinational business & corporate travel, commented; “Business travel agents and travel managers urgently need to implement smart technology to improve the time-consuming and costly manual aspects of the reservation management process, as well as gain access to relevant information to manage and measure travel programmes more effectively. Amadeus is now pleased to be able to provide solutions that effectively address these issues thanks to our partnership with Cornerstone, which will allow customers to have access to exceptional value at a global level.”
Mat Orrego, president & CEO of Cornerstone Information Systems added; “Amadeus’ global reach and industry position as travel technology leader, allows us to serve and adapt to our international customers exceptionally well. By leveraging Amadeus’ sales and service resources we can allocate more resources toward the improvement of existing technology and the creation of new platforms and applications for the corporate travel market.”
