BA promotes online booking

British Airways is further encouraging customers to book online following a survey it conducted recently that shows a growing trend in using the internet to find air tickets. British Airways manager for Thailand, Vietnam and Cambodia, Kelvin McQuillan, reported that currently online booking volume stood at about 20% to 30% of the airline’s bookings in Thailand.
“One or two years ago, the number was very small. In the past six months, the number has risen steadily and in the next two years, it will grow considerably,” McQuillan said.
The survey was initiated to learn more about Thai customers’ behaviour and needs so that the airline can further develop its website, www.ba.com. Key findings included:
