Malaysian regional carrier Firefly is launching more flights to Penang and Kota Bahru.
From 19 August 2013 to 25 October 2014, the airline will add two more weekly flights to Penang and 11 extra weekly flights to the eastern city of Kota Bahru, direct from its home base at Subang airport, near Kuala Lumpur.
The increase in flights will means Firefly will now operate 14 weekly flights to Penang and 21 weekly services to Kota Bahru, all using its ATR turbo-prop aircraft.
“Penang has always been important to us as it is our very first hub and our birthplace where it all started. Kota Bharu on the other hand is considered one of our ‘hot seat’ states. We are increasing our services to these two routes mainly to provide our business customers the ease of travelling without having to wait too long for the next flight out,” said Firefly’s CEO, Ignatius Ong.
The additional flights are now available for sale on Firefly’s website.
