Firefly launches Chinese charter flights
Firefly has commenced a new charter flight to the city of Nanning, in southern China’s Guangxi region.
The twice weekly flights, which got underway on Thursday, will connect Nanning direct with Kuala Lumpur every Sunday, while Thursday services will operate via Penang. The services are the result of a collaboration between Firefly and Guangxi China International Travel Service. All flights will be operated using a 162-seat Boeing 737-400 aircraft.
“Nanning is our first foray into China. We see demand for both leisure and business travel. We are also exploring the possibilities of flying to more cities in China using our B737 aircraft,” said Firefly’s CEO, Ignatius Ong.
