A new smart phone app has been released to help travellers assess green tourism options in 85 cities. TripSketch Green Book details information about eco-friendly hotels, attractions, dining options, tours and transport in major cities across North America, Europe, Asia and Oceania. A USA Today Travel review puts the app ahead of its competitors but wants to see a direct booking option included in the future. Until then, users must book by phone or through the company website. Most green travel apps focus on minimising the carbon cost of a trip, but this acts more as a green tourism guidebook, with paid for versions available offline.
