Jazeera Airways secures Cairo landing rights

The Egyptian Civil Aviation Authority has granted Kuwaiti low-cost airline Jazeera Airways landing rights for Cairo, after a long-running dispute over the carrier’s budget pricing structure.The CAA agreed to grant its approval after Jazeera agreed to review its pricing structures for Egyptian routes and add business class seats to aircraft flying the route.Egypt has maintained strict control of its airspace in support of national carrier Egyptair. To date, Egypt has banned low-cost airlines from establishing footholds in the country.
