A new insurance policy covering missed flights has launched today with easyJet.
The Missed Flight Cover has been launched by No Exclusions in conjunction with Mondial Assistance to cover the cost of a new ticket when a passenger misses a flight, whether they are at home or in the airport.
Travellers’ baggage or other extras are included in the insurance, which follows a One Poll that found 70.8% of holidaymakers worry about missing their flight. The insurance is currently only available direct on easyJet’s website for £9.50 return flight but could be rolled out to other distribution channels and airlines.
“We are extremely proud to have designed and developed Missed Flight Cover and are thrilled that easyJet will be the first airline to launch the policy,” said Andrew Lothian, CEO of No Exclusions. “We believe it provides an innovative and effective solution to a proven passenger concern and are confident that uptake will prove popular”.
