Malaysia will from this Friday ban all petrol stations at the country’s borders from selling petrol and diesel to foreign cars.
The move, announced earlier, was aimed at preventing foreign cars owners benefiting from Malaysia’s fuel subsidies.
The move is expected to hit Singaporean drivers who make day trips to the neighbouring Malaysian state of Johor and fill up with relatively cheaper petrol.
Up north, the ban would impact those driving down from Thailand.
