“India is not just Delhi, Agra and Jaipur,” said Tsering Wange, Managing Director of Himalayan Holidays, referring to the Golden Triangle which is often the first stop for most travelers to India.

The group of 20 operators were in Singapore last week and are in Bangkok this week. They were in Kuala Lumpur before
that where the Sikkim Association of Adventure Tour Operators (SAATO) held the third international convention.
SAATO, formed in 2004, has been active in promoting adventure tourism. Northeast India consists of the contiguous
seven sister states of Manipur, Triupura, Assam, Nagaland, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh and the state of Sikkim.
