The property will offer daily as well as long-stay rates and is the first of four new Oakwood developments in Bangkok. It’s part of Oakwood Asia Pacific’s portfolio which is planning to open 19 new properties in Asia by 2009.
“Many corporate and leisure visitors are now choosing serviced apartments instead of hotels,” said John MacNeill, General Manager of the Oakwood Residence Sukhumvit 24, citing the home environment with hotel-style services.
The Oakwood Residence Sukhumvit 24 offers Studio, one and two-bedroom residences which come with fully equipped kitchens and broadband internet connectivity, among others.
Oakwood has also announced that it will open new serviced apartments in Sukhumvit 16 in Bangkok in the first quarter of 2008, and in the Thonglor and Bang Na areas of Bangkok by the beginning of 2009. Oakwood Residence Sukhumvit 24 is the 16th property of Oakwood Asia Pacific.
