Shandong Airlines pens deal for 15 B737s

China’s Shandong Airlines has signed a deal to purchase 15 Boeing 737-800 aircraft, in an order worth approximately US$1.35 billion at list prices. Xinhua reported the airline’s Chairman, Zhang Xingfu, as saying that the new narrow-body jets will be delivered to the Jinan-based carrier over the next five years. Shandong Airlines, which currently operates a fleet of 48 aircraft, is planning to increase this to 100 planes over the next five years.
