Ukraine gets a glimpse of Ras Al Khaimah

The Ras Al Khaimah Tourism Development Authority (TDA) recently hosted a delegation of five Ukrainian media representatives on a four-day trip to further promote the emirate in Ukraine. This region is one of the top five source markets for the emirate.
Ukraine has positioned itself as the fourth main source market for Ras Al Khaimah from January to July 2013, with 18,906 visitors producing 8,892 room nights and an approximate room revenue of US$937,849.05. Compared with January to July 2012, Ras Al Khaimah has witnessed an increase in Ukrainian visitors by 18.10% with 16,009 visitors producing 7,689 room nights and an approximate room revenue of US$821,838.58.
Khalid Motik, director of Ras Al Khaimah TDA said: “Ras Al Khaimah is fast establishing itself internationally as a premium luxury destination. This trip exemplifies our international initiatives.”
The group were put up for a three-night stay at Hilton Ras Al Khaimah Resort & Spa and visited the recently-opened Waldorf Astoria Ras Al Khaimah. Other attractions showcased included a full-day cruise on the Prince of the Sea yacht, Pearl Farm visit, water-sports activities and Iceland water park, camel/horse-back riding at Ras Al Khaimah Country Club, Falcon Show at Banyan Tree Al Wadi, and a Seawings flight experience.
