US Airways has unveiled losses of US$865 million for the third quarter of the year, the BBC has reported. The American carrier’s results were largely a result of its fuel hedging programme, from which it lost US$488 million, after agreeing fuel prices before the recent drop in oil prices.
In contrast, in Q3 2007, US Airways made a profit of US$177 million.
