An amusement park owner in Mysore has filed a petition seeking INR 2-crore compensation and INR 5-lakh reimbursement from former deputy commissioner Harsha Gupta and his wife for using facilities at the amusement park for free. Times of India said the petitioner, K Panduranga Shenoy, who runs Planet X, had said the DC’s wife and their son would frequent the park for weeks in a row and run up bills amounting to INR 5 lakh on games, food and liquor. His wife would also bring her friends. The owner said he lost customers as the DC’s wife and their son would keep people waiting while the duo finished their bowling game. When asked to stop, the DC allegedly used his clout and under the guise of illegal construction, even got part of the park demolished.
