ANA plots return to profit in 2010

All Nippon Airways Co (ANA) has said is aiming to return to the black 2010-11 financial year, starting 1 April. According to a Japan Times report, the carrier is targeting a net profit of JPY5 billion (US$55.3 million) for the year, on revenues of JPY1.36 trillion. In an outline of its two-year business plan, the Japan’s second-largest airline was reported saying that it expects to boost revenues from international passengers by 68% from the current fiscal year on the back of increased slots at Tokyo’s Narita and Haneda airports. It is also aiming to slash JPY86 billion in costs.
