All Nippon Airways (ANA) and United-Continental are expanding their codeshare routes to include United’s services between Tokyo Narita airport and Houston, New York and Guam.
The two airlines have been operating codeshare flights since 28 March last year, initially on ANA’s trans-Pacific and domestic routes, and Continental Airlines’ US services. The new codesharing services between Narita and Houston and New York flights have already launched, while those to Guam will begin on 1 June.
Keisuke Okada, ANA’s Executive Vice President, said; “Our trans-Pacific agreement… is already working successfully. This development of our partnership will expand the networks of both airlines and offer our valued customers a more convenient selection of flights between Asia and the United States.”
Mark Schwab, United’s Senior Vice President of Alliances added; “This codeshare expansion substantially benefits our customers in the U.S. and Japan. We are thrilled to be further deepening our relationship with ANA, our joint venture partner for the trans-pacific market, in providing customers with an even greater variety of flight options and mileage benefits.”
