Anantara Doha teams up with India’s Qureshi Brothers

Anantara has teamed by with famous Indian chefs, the Qureshi Brothers, to enhance the culinary offerings at its resort in Qatar.
The Banana Island Resort Doha by Anantara will host Mohammed Irfan Qureshi and Mohammed Ashfaque Qureshi, from the celebrated Imtiaz Qureshi family, to create a special dining experience for diners.
Running until 11 October, the Qureshi Brothers will bring their brand of modern Indian “frontier” cuisine to the resort’s Q Lounge & Restaurant, including a range of new recipes.
“The Qureshis have a passion for good food and pushing culinary boundaries steeped in rich Indian culinary traditions. Both chefs have pioneered in the art of North Indian cuisine, as being related to the food heritage of the royal Indian courts, and they are renowned for raising culinary masterpieces to the realm of fine art,” said Thomas Fehlbier, general manager of Banana Island Resort Doha by Anantara.
“The brothers, like their father, are the flag bearers of this unique and historic cuisine that they have used it in a contemporary twist for a modern diner, without compromising on the character of the food. For hundreds of years, their ancestors had been cooking for the great Moghuls and now food lovers in Qatar will have a unique opportunity to relish age old recipes and exotic dishes created for royalty.”
The Qureshi Brothers are part of leading global restaurants that serve contemporary Indian cuisine, with presence in Malaysia, China, Oman, UAE, USA, South Africa, Thailand and Singapore.
