Thailand’s Minor Hotel Group will open its first Anantara resort in Sri Lanka in the fourth quarter of 2015.
Located in a 17-hectare beachfront setting on the island’s south coast, Anantara Peace Haven Tangalle Resort will feature 120 rooms and 32 one- and two-bedroom villas with private plunge pools. The two-bedroom villas also feature an indoor dining rooms and pantries.
Resort facilities will include six F&B outlets, including a Sri Lankan-inspired Teppanyaki outlet which overlooks the beach and a cliff-side Italian restaurant and wine cellar. There is also an outdoor swimming pool, a 24-hour gym, tennis and badminton courts, a library, kids’ club and an Anantara Spa with eight treatment rooms, a reflexology centre and beauty and hair salons.
The resort is also located close to wildlife reserves and 30-minutes from Rekawa, a turtle conservation project.
The resort will continue Minor’s expansion in Sri Lanka, where the group already operates two hotels under its Avani brand.
