Andaz tops hotel Wi-Fi league

Hyatt’s Andaz brand has come top in a global study to find the best hotel Wi-Fi providers.
Following a global four-month ‘Hotel Wi-Fi Test’ that ran from October 2013 to February 2014, Andaz was found to provide the best internet services. Chains with a high ranking were judged to be “very concerned about Wi-Fi quality” and offer a better-than-average internet speed.
Following Andaz, Starwood’s Le Meridien brand was second and Carlson Rezidor’s Radisson Blu third. Four Point s by Sheraton, Scandic, Sheraton, Crowne Plaza, Marriott, Hyatt and Residence Inn completed the top 10.
In terms of individual hotels, The Emblem Hotel in Prague was found to have the best Wi-Fi, offering a free service with a maximum speed of 153.2Mbps. The TradeWinds Island Grand in Florida was second and DoubleTree by Hilton Chicago Arlington Heights third.
Europe’s best Wi-Fi hotel was found to be the Radisson Blu Amsterdam Airport, while the best hotel in Asia for Wi-Fi was Hong Kong’s Hotel Icon.
