Debbie Milburn has been named as the new head of marketing for Macdonald Hotels & Resorts. Milburn was most recently director of marketing at QHotels. She will also be joined by the newly-appointed Stephen Dodman as revenue director. Dodman previously worked for von Essen hotels as sales and marketing director and will new oversee distribution and pricing at Macdonald.
Nicholas Clayton has been appointed chief operating officer at Jumeirah Group. Clayton has joined the hotel group from Viceroy Hotel Group, where he was CEO. His new role follows the retirement of Jumeirah’s CEO Guy Crawford.
Michael Thamm has been appointed as the new CEO of the Costa Group, which includes Costa Cruises, AIDA Cruises and Ibero Cruises. Thamm, who currently serves as CEO of AIDA, takes over from Pier Luigi Foschi on 1 July 2012. More in Cruise News UK.
Axel Jarosch has been named as the new general manager at Six Senses Zighy Bay, Oman. Jarosch joins the hotel from Anantara, where he was in charge of new hotel openings. He has also held several hospitality roles at Per AQUUM and hotels throughout Asia and Africa.
Massimo Morechini has been announced as the new director of rooms at the Raffles Hotel Singapore. An Italian national, Moreschini leaves the UK where he served as rooms division director of Celtic Manor Resort in Wales.
Andrea Greybanks has joined the Raffles Hotel Singapore as its new director of sales & marketing. A British national, Greybanks has extensive experience and previously served as Mandarin Oriental’s regional director of sales for the Middle East.
