APT celebrates 90 years of travel

An evening of live music and fine dining has marked APT’s 90 year journey from suburban bus line to leading cruise and tour operator. VIP guests from across the UK travel industry were hosted at a champagne reception before enjoying a private dinner.

Guests were welcomed at the event by APT’s vice president of sales and marketing, North America, UK and Europe, Nicole De Wilde and APT Travel Group’s (ATG) group managing director Chris Hall and CEO Steve Reynolds.

A string quartet, a Lion dance and stories from ATG owners the McGeary family were highlights of the gala, which was held at London’s Banking Hall on 6 September.

APT ambassador and chef Luke Nguyen made a speech explaining his relationship with the luxury tour operator and his role in a range of culinary experiences for guests.

In his speech Nguyen shared details of a collaboration for 2018 that will ensure APT’s guests from the UK, Australia and New Zealand are the only tour groups to have the chance to dine at his newly opened Vietnam House restaurant in Ho Chi Minh City.
