From September 2017 UK travellers will be able to sail between Mandalay and Yangon in style thanks to a new luxury river cruise itinerary from APT.
The new 17-day Hidden Wonders of Myanmar cruise on sale this week will take passengers on a voyage of discovery between Mandalay and Yangon calling at Inwa, Salay and the ancient city of Bagan onboard APT’s new ship, the RV Samatha. Launched earlier this year, the ship will be sailing exclusively on the new luxury Myanmar itinerary.
As part of APT’s exclusive ‘Signature Experiences’, passengers can cruise alongside the famed U Bein Bridge near Amarapura, view the famous Shwedagon Pagoda at sunset, sample a local cigar or ‘cheroot’ at a workshop in Danuphyu and visit Yoke Sone Kyaung, the region’s oldest surviving wooden monastery.
Guests can save up to £850 per person on the new 17-day cruise with APT’s Fly Free offer when booked by 28 February 2017. The 17-day Hidden Wonders of Myanmar cruise departs from Yangon, calling at Danuphyu Myanaung, Pyay (Prome), Thayetmyo, Minhla, Magwe, Salay, Tantkyi Hill, Bagan, Yandabo, Inwa, Saigain and Mingun and Mandalay, where passengers disembark.
