aQedina, which offers talent development programmes for corporate sales teams, is now offering its services to the hospitality industry.
The new venture is being spearheaded by Tareq Bagaeen, who has worked for the likes of Hyatt, Banyan Tree and Carlson Rezidor, and is now embarking on a mission to develop hotel sales teams.
aQedina Hospitality Sales Solutions will use assessments and learning and development programmes to assess and improve the abilities of hotel sales staff. Using its Online Sales Assessment Tool (OSAT), the company will allow hospitality professionals to assess sales teams’ capabilities, including monitoring how commercially aware they are with regards to their clients, market and competitors, how driven they are to succeed, and whether or not they have the right tools to perform their tasks.
The OSAT has been created in partnership with Association for Talent Development (ATD), the Institute leadership Management (ILM) and the Learning & Performance Institute (LPI), which are all highly regarded in the field of talent development.
“OSAT [is] aimed towards the revenue-generating team members. This is a valuable asset designed to bring clarity towards an individual’s or team commercial capabilities without getting psychometric in approach; a real first for the hotel industry,” aQedina states.
Bagaeen has spent the last 16 years working in the hospitality industry, including spells as regional director of sales at Carlson Rezidor’s Dubai office and as Banyan Tree’s area director of sales & marketing for Thailand and Laos.
aQedina Hospitality Sales Solutions will be based in Phuket, supported by offices in Washington DC, Barcelona, Dubai and Bangkok.
