Aqua Expeditions will launch a new cruise boat on the Mekong River in October.
The Aqua Mekong will become the company’s third luxury vessel, following the Aqua Amazon and Aqua Aria.
“We are very excited to reveal our latest addition, the Aqua Mekong, which we believe will offer the experienced traveller an authentic and world-class way of exploring another exotic location. We look forward to welcoming guests on board in October,” said Aqua’s founder & CEO, Francesco Galli Zugaro.
Measuring 62.4 metres in length, the Aqua Mekong will have 20 suites with floor-to-ceiling windows that overlook the river. The ship’s Observation Deck and Outdoor Lounge will offer woven cane chairs, sunloungers and a plunge pool, while guests will also have access to a spa and fitness centre, library and screening room.
In terms of F&B, the boat will feature the Aqua Mekong Bar and a restaurant headed-up by celebrated chef David Thompson, who will use local ingredients to produce fine Southeast Asian cuisine.
Aqua Mekong will operate three-, four- and seven-night itineraries on the Mekong River and Tonle Sap Lake, running between Siem Riep and My Tho, near Ho Chi Minh City, and stopping in Phnom Penh. Guests will be offered daily river and shore excursions.
