Archipelago opens Bali’s first Hotel NEO
Archipelago International has launched its first Hotel NEO in Bali.
The lower-midscale brand, which Archipelago calls ‘select-service’, first launched in Jakarta last month and has now arrived in the Legian area of Bali, in the form of a contemporary and eye-catching property.
The Hotel NEO Legian Jelantik is located on Jalan Patih Jelantik, close to the local nightlife area of Poppies Lanes. Designed to cater for younger visitors, the hotel features 101 rooms with minibars, coffee machines, flat-screen TVs and Wi-Fi. Like all Hotel NEOs, the Legian property will be completely smoke-free.
Norbert Vas, Archipelago’s Vice President of Sales & Marketing, said he expects the hotel to be popular with both domestic and international guests.
“We have carefully timed this opening to be in line with the tour operator contracting season which traditionally starts in April and have been able to gain widespread support from Europe over Japan to Australia,” Vas said. “The new NEO will have a very diverse, international and interesting guest mix.”
Archipelago now plans to open a third NEO in Jakarta this month and then three more this summer – one in Jakarta and two more in Bali. Other locations identified for Hotel NEO developments include Bandung, Medan, Palangkaraya, Samarinda and Solo. All new properties will feature between 90 and 130 rooms and will feature cafe-style restaurants.
