Nigerian carrier Arik Air suspended its domestic flights earlier today amidst union disputes and unpaid debts.
Hundreds of passengers have been left stranded at Lagos airport and its other locations in across Africa following the suspension, although it is currently unknown if its international operations are affected.
The carrier flies between Heathrow and Lagos and reached its 10millionth passenger earlier this week.
Local media reports said labour unions have unpaid dues while others have said the carrier owes bilions in debt to the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria FAAN.
