Indonesian hotel group, Aston International has announced a major expansion of its two-star Favehotel brand in Indonesia and Malaysia. The company intends to add 25 new hotels across the two countries in the coming years. These new hotels will add 3,280 new rooms to Aston International’s hotel network, with new properties rising in key hubs across Indonesia, and the first international Favehotel opening on the Malaysian resort island of Langkawi. Key destinations such as Jakarta, Yogyakarta and Bali will see multiple Favehotels developed simultaneously.
Norbert Vas, Vice President Sales & Marketing for Aston International, said; “The select service hotel business is all about distribution, brand awareness and consistency. The more Favehotels we open the better for each one of them and the better for our brand loyal guests. Aston with its extensive and diversified regional network is benefiting from very strong brand recognition and significant resources in Indonesia.”
The roll-out of favehotels will see six properties in Jakarta (Wahid Hasyim, Sunter, Melawai, Menteng, Thamrin and Wolter Monginsidi), three in Yogyakarta (Timoho, Kusumanegara and Cendrawasi), seven in Bali (Bypass, Umalas, Seminyak, Legian, Kuta Galeria, Kuta Square and Gatot Subroto), as well as other openings in Bandung, Bogor, Langkawi, Malang, Medan, Pekanbaru, Solo, Solo Baru and Tangerang.
Favehotel is a select-service, two-star brand that debuted in Indonesia in July 2009. Product features include complimentary high-speed internet access and LCD televisions, while the hotels are designed to be environmentally-friendly.
Besides its Favehotel expansion plan, Aston recently held a topping-off ceremony for its five-star Grand Aston Yogyakarta, announced several new four-star Astons for Jakarta, Serpong, Purwokerto, Bojonegoro, Makassar and Surabaya, and is opening its first three-star Quest Hotel in Cebu, the Philippines.
