Aston to open in Jayapura

Jakarta – Indonesia, 15 October 2009 - Jakarta based Aston International announced today that the group entered into a management agreement with PT Asmat Jaya Pratama under which the fastest growing hotel chain in Indonesia will manage Jayapura’s newest hotel.
The 12 story hotel, which will be Jayapura’s tallest structure, is set to open in December. Located in the very center of the city on Jalan Percetakan, the Aston Jayapura Hotel will offer 102 rooms and suites, a large ballroom with a capacity for up to 600 guests, several auxiliary meeting rooms, a coffee shop and lobby lounge, a full service spa with sauna, a gymnasium and an entertainment center with a cocktail bar and karaoke facilities.
Norbert Vas, Aston International’s VP Sales & Marketing said, “Regional autonomy has brought tremendous business travel and tourism growth to East Indonesia and we intend to become the most respected and largest hotel group in this part of the country. The Aston Jayapura Hotel will be our 4th hotel to open in East Indonesia this year after the recently opened Aston Manado City Hotel and Aston Natsepa Ambon Resort and the opening of the Aston Niu Manokwari Hotel & Conference in November. We have also been approached by several developers to start the planning process for new hotels in Makassar, which will see the development of a 4 star Aston and 2 star favehotel, Ternate, Sorong, Kendari and two more properties under our 3 star Aston City and 2 star favehotel brand in Ambon”.
