ATDD rolls out training programs for guides

In an effort to strengthen its tourism offering, the Ajman Tourism Development Department (ATDD) recently launched its tourist guide programme. This new initiative witnessed attendance from 30 trainees.
The English-language program is being held in cooperation with Skyline University College and Ajman Transport Corporation. As a further boost to the programme, a memorandum of understanding (MoU) will be signed between ATDD and Ajman Transport Corporation to include 100 taxi drivers to the programme in January.
The programme comprises of three levels – beginners, UAE nationals and Arabic-language speakers, and professionals who already have their licenses from any UAE emirate. The year 2015 will witness the organization of about 10 courses for these levels.
