The India-Pakistan border at Attari-Wagah will be developed into a tourist spot. Sarwan Singh Phillaur, Minister for Tourism in Punjab told the PTI, “The border area will be developed with modern tourism infrastructure to attract more tourists from home and abroad.”
The state is planning a big parking lot in the view of heavy turnout during the ‘Beating Retreat Ceremony’ every evening. An open air theatre and a welcome centre are also being planned at the international border.
