Visitors to Australia will now be able to partake in another unique adventure activity – a one-kilometre-long spiralling zip line.
Called the ‘TreeTop Crazy Rider’, the zip line will see riders fly through the trees, 18 metres above the ground, on a rollercoaster-style zip line that includes three 360-degree loops.
The attraction is located at the TreeTop Adventure Park, in the Central Coast region of New South Wales. It was developed following a AU$200,000 (US$175,000) government tourism grant.
“Our customers tell us that… zip lines are their favourites [so] we’ve worked hard to make them longer, scarier and to get people really excited,” said Sandrine Gaymard of the TreeTop Adventure Park.
“Zip lines usually travel in a straight line but we thought it would be incredible to build some to go around the trees, up and down, and even with 360 degree loops to really ramp up the fun factor.
“The result is amazing. It’s a twisty, curly, thrilling ride in the treetops and we’re proud to offer something truly unique and ground breaking to Australian eco-tourism.”
The 1km-long attraction is triple the distance of any other zip line around the world.
